Medicine For Peace Receives Award from New Foundation

The MFP board is pleased to announce that The Sun Also Rises Foundation (TSARF) has awarded a grant to support the work of Medicine for Peace in Haiti. TSARF is a non-profit philanthropic organization founded in 2005 with the goal of supporting fresh and innovative approaches to humanitarian issues across the globe. TSARF investigates and funds organizations that work on small-scale, innovative and replicable programs to address humanitarian crises on the ground level. The ultimate goal of each project is not only to be successful but also to produce a freely accessible white paper so that other organizations and locals can replicate these projects. It is the belief that the open-source nature of this system can eventually leverage these small innovative programs to create a global impact.

In addition to the Medicine for Peace Program in Haiti, the TSALF is supporting a HIV program and medical clinic in Socorro, Mali and an educational program in India.
